What we actually pay for
On its own none of it is dramatic, it simply never stops. Every month the server keeps running, every year the domain and the imprint service come due again, the Discord boost runs alongside, the AI tools bill, and events and creators cost money too.
Server, domain, legal notice
The server that runs this site, CatchIT and the tools, plus domain, certificates and backups. And the imprint service, without which a private address would have to sit in our legal notice. None of it ever pauses.
The tools we build
CatchIT and everything else is free to use: no account, no ads, no data sold on. On top of that come the AI tools we build with, and those bill every month.
Discord and events
We boosted the Discord so it runs better for everyone. Then there are events for the org and prizes for giveaways, things that benefit all of us rather than one person.
Creators and helpers
When somebody builds, draws or edits something for us, they get paid for it. And whoever has done the org a special service gets a small thank you. We spend that money gladly.
What you get for it
Honestly: nothing. No rank, no advantage inside the org, no extra feature in the tools, no early access to anything. Whoever donates gets exactly what everyone else gets, which is all of it.
This is a donation, not a payment. It is meant for people who like the org or our tools and want to chip in. What you get back is our thanks, and we mean it.
We love what we do here, and we will not stop if nothing comes in. We would simply rather not carry all of it on our own any more. And if there is nothing to spare right now, that is completely fine. Use the tools, come hang out on Discord, everything stays as free as it is.
The payment itself is handled by Ko-fi. We never see bank details or card numbers. A contribution is a voluntary gift with nothing in return, it does not entitle you to any service, and there is no right of withdrawal under distance selling law. We cannot issue a donation receipt: SPECTRE is a private gaming community, not a registered charity. Details on data processing are in our privacy policy, operator details in the legal notice.
